My husband and I went to South Caroline this past weekend. It was supposed to be a travel day on Friday then exploring Saturday, Sunday and Monday and traveling back on Tuesday. Well our friend who lives there had life happen. So we didn’t hear from him until late Friday night and decided just to go on Saturday. So we traveled down and had a wonderful day and a half before my son called to tell me a huge snow storm was coming on Monday and we needed to get back. Pack it up and haul but back to Virginia before the ice storm in NC and snow in VA. We got all the way back in record time, and ended up spending 2 hours for a 40 minute commute so close to home. It was still worth it!
In the middle of your calling, your ministry, your business, and your purpose, don’t forget to take the time to take time. I am not a spontaneous person, but I felt God saying go! Put your To Do list aside. Eat a meal a little bit slower. Put your feet up and rest awhile. Grab a blanket and lie down. You have to remember this one critical thing: YOU ARE IMPORTANT. You matter, and you need to take care of yourself.
God has so many incredible things He wants to pour into your life, and He wants to use you to bless others. You can’t be those things if you are weak and run down or distracted and discouraged. You are loved no matter what you’re going through. God has not and never will change His mind about you. He knows who you are, why you were made, and the things He has planned for you. I know that we touched many lives on our oh so short trip, but I was obedient and for that I know I will be blessed!
