Have you ever thought to yourself, “I’m not going to eat that”, and then you eat it!  You see, sugar is a drug.  No really, it is an addiction like no other.  I tell people that sugar is like cocaine, once you eat it you are hooked and the rehab is for a lifetime.  Getting off sugar and the sugar high can be a battle if you don’t know what you’re doing. Or if you don’t know nutrition and what, when and how sugar is added, the disguise names and what is high glycemic versus low glycemic.  Are you already saying “What?”  Most people think I only eat a small amount of sugar so I’m ok right?  Sugar is like cocaine, just a little is all that is needed to hook you!  Then you crave more!

So, what do you do to get off that sugar?  It takes a plan and commitment.  I thought I was eating clean and green. Nope.  I tried a couple of the guru plans but I had such an addiction to sugar that the cravings would overtake me!  Sounds silly huh? Not if you have a sugar addiction.  I started to do some research, you know me and research, and I noticed a mentor of mine who was in her mid-sixties at the time had lost a significant amount of weight and she had maintained it for many years.  That’s important to me.  You can lose weight only to find it and then some!  So I reached out to her and she introduced me to my world today!  The program eliminates sugar, wheat, gluten, dairy, soy, peanuts, corn, and artificial sweeteners.  I was already dairy and gluten free and I used Stevia so the transition wasn’t that hard.  That was last July and now I am 62 pounds and 26 inches released!  I am maintaining with ease. I am no longer a sugar addict!!

Cravings are when the brain signals the body that the fuel is low and needs more.  If you change the fuel then the signal stops as well.  It’s so important to maintain a healthy blood sugar level and that’s what I teach others.  I love to teach and educate, especially all things holistic and healthy!  It’s my passion.  I want to die old and healthy!
